Maureen Idemudia Omokhomion was born on a Tuesday morning at about 1am on the 4th day of April 1967.  She is the 5th child and the last girl, of 8 children.

Maureen started primary school at the age of 3 as a result of the privilege of being a child of a teacher. However, though she passed to primary 2, she was kept in another arm of primary 1 but deceived into believing that she has been promoted as her immediate elder sister, Obehi will not have her younger sister be in the same primary 2 with her (she complained that people will mock her that she is not clever because she is in the same class as her junior sister).

Maureen proceeded to Our lady of Lourdes Girls School, Uromi where she obtained her WAEC. She graduated from the University of Ibadan at the age of 20 in 1997 from the department of Economics with a Second Class Upper Division. Maureen won the award of the best graduating female student from her department. She also has an MBA, Finance.

Maureen proceeded to Benue State for her Compulsory One year youth service and was retained immediately by her place of primary assignment. She also won an award of a creative corper as she led a team that organized extra classes for 10 female students who had dropped out of schools and raised funds to register them for GCE to put them back on track.

Maureen joined the banking Industry at the age of 22 as an Executive Assistant (She made up her mind to be a banker at the age of 9 in primary school and she pursued this dream diligently as she ordinarily was a science student in the secondary school. She jettisoned science courses when she was informed that she needed social sciences subjects to be a banker. This informed her choice of course in the University. She worked passionately in various banks where she peaked her career as a Regional Coordinator, Retail.

Maureen quit the banking industry few years ago to pursue her business. Maureen is blessed with four children including a set of triplets.

Maureen could be described as a very  disciplined, focused and resilient woman. She never gives up on her dream. She is God fearing and very compassionate.  Maureen loves children. She also loves to share.

Maureen Idemudia Omokhomion is very passionate about welfare of children and giving back to humanity. She is currently a member of AWLO and is today launching her pet program, Ibhariegua Global Initiative – Lending a voice to the child abandoned by a parent.
