The AWLO-500 Empowerment Project for Women kickstarts at the FREE AWLO-500 Capacity Building Workshop. The Capacity Building Workshop is holding on 14th December 2019 at Tinapa Lakeside Hotel, Calabar will be providing practical training in the areas of business set-up, technology-driven enterprise, customer acquisition, business planning, financial intelligence coaching, and leadership and management. The AWLO-500 Project provides economic empowerment opportunities to bridge the economic empowerment gap among women.

In addition to workshop sessions, other activities at the AWLO-500 Workshop include Exhibitions, Manufacturing Trainings, Business Set-up and Registration, Business Resource Corner, and Networking Lunch.
The Justina Ovat Foundation is teaming up with AWLO to Host the AWLO-500 Capacity Building Workshop Calabar, and mobilizing 300 beneficiaries from the Niger-Delta Region for the AWLO-500 Empowerment project. The Foundation is a not-for-profit Entrepreneurship, Employability and Enterprise Development organization that delivers innovative, high-quality solutions for the development and growth of people who are independent of government but are core contributors to the commonwealth of their communities.
This initiative being hinged on AWLO’s theme for the year 2019; ‘Empowered for Sustainability’, has identified the following post-workshop opportunities as a sustainable model of women’s empowerment. Namely; A Women’s Business Community, Market place, Routine Business Coaching, and Business Loans.
